Your doctor may recommend certain tips that help in preventing liver diseases. These tips are important for people who are at high risk of developing liver diseases. Some of the tips for preventing liver disease are as follows:

Managing body weight: If you are obese or overweight, you are at high risk of developing liver disease. Aim for a normal Body Mass Index (BMI), which is between 18.5 to 22.9. People who have central obesity are at high risk of developing fatty liver disease. Manage your weight through exercise and diet.

Exercise: Exercise helps your body to remain fit. It reduces the stress on the liver and helps to reduce the triglycerides in the body. Exercise also helps in managing obesity and overweight, which are the risk factors for fatty liver disease.
